At RMI, we conduct extensive research to understand our customers' needs beyond the basics. We have collaborated with our partners at Etech Engineering Services (EES) to combine our practical engineering knowledge with their technical design skills, resulting in New Zealand’s latest concept of skip bin gantry trucks. Our design prioritises efficiency, safety, and optimal performance.

Low mounted main lift ram
For faster cycle times
The positioning of the gantry truck’s main lift rams is vital to achieving fast cycle times without effecting the capacity of the gantry.
Certified 10mm safety chains come complete with sleeve covering to reduce wear.

Short wheelbase
For easy manoeuvrability
No need to modify the chassis from OEM specification. This unmodified F series Isuzu has a wheelbase of 3365mm, allowing for great maneuverability in tight situations. The shorter wheelbase still allows for good weight distrubution over both front and rear axles.
Wherever possible we will work with the originial unmodified wheelbase from the manufacturer.

Ergonomically designed deck
With operator in mind
Easy access to the deck with 3 points of contact. The deck is constructed from high-strength steel and quality NZ-made hydraulic components. Chain store pockets are incorporated into the deck for quick and easy access.

Adjustable Bin Stops
Added bin security and safety with these heavy-duty adjustable stops. Help inexperienced operators place the bin in the right spot, every time.
Full-length deck rub protection plates
This added protection will not only reduce wear, but adds strength and longevity to the deck

Rear Features
Integrated LED Lights and Camera
The RMI integrated design ensures that the lights and camera are protected during the loading and unloading of bins.
Removable Tow Hitch
3.5T removable tow hitch option for operators that want to utilise a trailer for extra capacity. The bi-fold arm gives great flexibility when loading or unloading bins from the trailer.

Gantry Truck Operator Safety
E-stops are located on each side of the deck.
Two-handed operation of hydraulic controls for additional driver safety.
Automatic engine RPM/PTO increase for ultimate control in every situation.

High Clearance Independent Support Legs
Allowing for versatile loading of heavy bins - even at full reach or on sloping ground. The design offers superior departure angle clearance for entry into sloping driveways.

Remote Control with Safety Stop
Control the deck from around the truck with the option to add our versitile dual speed remote control, complete with e-stop. The remote holder/charger mount in the gantry truck cab is standard when you select the remote control option.
