Steel fabrication specialists based in Palmerston North, servicing New Zealand

RMI was initially established to distribute lifting equipment, steel plate and Kemper fume extraction equipment to the New Zealand engineering sector.

Five years ago, RMI pivoted from equipment and material supply, to focus on providing comprehensive fabrication solutions in carbon steel and aluminium. This provided the opportunity for RMI to compliment the capabilities of Etech NZ and offer additional services to new and existing customers.

With a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, RMI has catered to a variety of industries, from construction and manufacturing through to research and development projects for various innovative companies. Projects range from the installation of mobile concrete plant associated with the new works at Ohakea Airforce Base, to the supply of fabricated equipment to the pioneering team at OpenStar Technologies.

During this time the team at RMI has grown in size and is currently working towards the construction of a new and purpose built workshop in Palmerston North.
